Side Quest

Into the Vaults

Even on the most arduous and exciting of journeys, one must take advantage of any possible opportunity given. All across Ayadah lie opportunities for adventure, coin, and pain. The Necroquake especially has revealed more in the last number of weeks than had been found in millennia, temples and monuments manifesting where there was nothing before. And within these seemingly desolate places, amazing treasures and great artefacts of power reside, apparently there for the taking. Adventurers from all over the land are scrambling to make a name for themselves to earn power, glory, and fame.

During your adventures, rumours of an underground temple region, full of treasure and ripe for the taking, has reached your ears. Greatness awaits, you need only survive. 

Warhammer Underworlds

Into the Vaults is a miniature dungeon crawl, played with Warhammer Underworlds rules. It is made up of at least two games and can be embarked on once Side Quests have been unlocked. Once Into the Vaults has been started, you must complete at least two games in full before leaving the Vaults, if you play only one game, you leave empty-handed.

These games use the most recent Warhammer Underworlds season, and can be played in any format, whether that is Championship, Alliance, Relic, or a custom game found in a White Dwarf, or created by the NEO. 

The Warbands

Into the Vaults is played between a single-player, the Aspirant, and the Denizens of the Vault. 

 

The Aspirant must use the same Warband for the entirety of the quest but can change and alter decks in-between games. I would recommend using a Warband that closely represents your hero/race. 

The Denizens of the Vault can be played with any other number of players and warbands.

The Vaults

Below you will find various Areas that you can enter into. Each Area is made up of at least two Events. Each of these Events represents a single game of Warhammer Underworlds.

Areas are played sequentially, a player must win at least one Event in an Area in order to be able to move to the next one Area.

Rewards

On completing any number of Areas, the Aspirant is usually rewarded with an Upgrade or Artefact that reflects the glory that they have attained on their journey.

 

A player who plays as the Denizens of the Vault is also rewarded, depending on the number of games they play, regardless of whether they win or lose.

The Entrance to the Vaults

Ambush!

You've reached the entrance to the Vaults, and your Warband has already been ambushed! Defend yourself, or have your adventure cut off before it has even begun!

Vault Entrance

Thankfully you've managed to make your way into the entranceway of the Vaults. Looking around you see bones and weapons litter the floor. before you lies a new enemy to face, baring the door. 

​

Destroy the enemy before moving onwards into the Vaults, at least this will afford you an opportunity to loot them when they're dead!

Rewards

Following the ordeals in getting to the Vaults, you look about your Warband and find that at the very least, you're not empty-handed. You've managed to acquire some weapons that may come in handy in the battles ahead of you.

The Library

Time to Hit the Books

You find yourself in a repository of knowledge. A library or museum, filled with books, strange objects, and a lovely assortment of enemies ready to slit your throats.

Stairways

Your party has found themselves pushing through their enemies and onto a balcony area out the back of the library. Below, staircases run down into the depths, and running up them is yet another group, carrying loot and running from some danger unseen. You dare not let them past, plus, you could use some of that shiny goodness for yourself...

Rewards

Your group has survived, and come away with some pretty amazing gear! Now, onwards to even greater treasures! â€‹
