Battleplan:
The Black Pull
Vladan Lehr has found himself deep in some sort of underground complex. Something in the darkness pulls at his soul like a fishermen reels in fish, and although he knows this to be true, he still pursues what pulls him so. That being said, he now knows that danger lurks in the dark, and he readies his sword to not only defend himself but start his journey to take back what is his.
Warhammer Underworlds
The Black Pull is a miniature dungeon crawl, played with Warhammer Underworlds rules. It is made up of three WHU games played back-to-back. These games are played with the custom rules found below.

The games are played between one player who controls Vladan and his growing hoard, and another, the Enemy.
Vladan's Growing Legions
Although Vladan finds himself lost, severely injured, and almost powerless, he continues to plot. He needs to regain his strength, and to do that he needs protection. His sword is able to draw up legions of the dead, but only when he's powerful enough, so instead he'll need to do it the old-fashioned way... by plunging his sword stright into their damned non-hearts!

In The Black Pull, Vladan is played using the Sepulchral Warden character card.
The First Encounter
Vladan has found his first opportunity to grow his lost power, a number of shambling skeletal guard. Now is not the time to figure out what, or whom, they could be guarding, now is the time to take what he is owed, power!
Set-up
The game boards are set-up by the NEO, and no objective tokens are set up, the boards contain no lethal hexes. The enemy holds no cards, and the Vladan holds no Objective cards.

The Enemy sets up three Sepulchral Guard, the Petitioners, on any starting hexes.

After the Enemy has set up the three Petitioners, the player controlling Vladan sets him up on any starting hex.
From the Depths!
After the initial three sepulchral guards are slain:

-
The Vladan player rolls a D3, and removes the value of the dice worth of wound tokens
-
The Enemy sets up the Harvester and the Prince of Dust in any starting Hex
-
The Vladan player rolls a D3.
-
On a 1, nothing happens
-
On a 2, the Vladan can place a single Petitioner on any starting Hex and use.
-
On a 3, the Vladan can place a single Petitioner on any starting Hex and use, plus use its Inspired state.
-

After the Harvester and the Prince of Dust are slain:

-
The Vladan player rolls a D3, and remove the value of the dice worth of wound tokens
-
The Enemy sets up The Champion in an inspired state.
Victory!
The game ends if either the Vladan player slays all of his enemies, or if Vladan is slain. The Vladan player succeeds in a Major Victory if he can slay all of his enemies until the last. He wins a Minor Victory if he succeeds in killing at least the three Petitioners, but is slain (knocked out) before killing all of his foes.

The enemy wins if Vladan is slain with the Petitioners.

Regardless of which victory condition is earned, take note of what enemies were killed. For every enemy slain, Vladan collects the eldritch energy that gives them their will, and in so doing, he binds them to himself, giving him the power to summon them in the next part of the underground complex.

You can repeat this game if needed or desired before going onto the next one.

The Second Encounter
Vladan has managed to collect the energies that created the sepulchral guard. And a good thing too, because just as he collapses to the ground in exhaustion he looks up at the ceiling to see a faint glow above him. Growing, the glow is soon joined by the sound of a foul wind on the air. Leaping to his feet, Vladan readies himself for battle once more.
Set-up
This game is a traditional game of Warhammer Underworlds played in the Relic format. The Vladan player takes any warrior that he managed to slay in the First Encounter.
The Enemy plays as the Thorns of the Briar Queen.
Victory!
The Vladan player wins a Major Victory if they win the game.

The Enemy wins a Major Victory if they win the game.

Regardless of whether the Vladan player succeeds in winning, take note of what enemies were killed. For every enemy slain, Vladan collects the eldritch energy that gives them their will, and in so doing, he binds them to himself, giving him the power to use them in battles to come later in the Black Onyx weave.

The Third Encounter
The ghosts swarm around Vladan as he and his retinue push them back, and fight their way towards a distant light ahead up a long winding stair. Vladan feels that ever-present pull, growing in power, telling him that that's the way out.

Finally succeeding in escaping the complex, he leaps out the open doors into the world outside.

The pull suddenly enflames in Vladan. He looks up to see an old man, looking towards him, as if he knew he was coming all along.

'Welcome,' the man said, 'I've been expecting you! I felt your entrance into my domain as you came through my portal. Welcome, welcome! Come, sit with me, stay with me.

'Silence!' Vladan said to the old man, 'tell me, what pulls at me so? Why do I feel this tug on my soul? Why does my fate lead me to you?'

'That would be me my little sire,' the man replied, 'I wish you to be here, and so you are here. I know what you wish for, yes? You wish for revenge, for destruction, for the conquering of a nation, am I not correct?'

Vladan looked astonished, how did this man know of such things? How could he know...

Vladan growled 'old man... who are you? What are you...? Be If you know such things, why not simply tell me outright?'

'Why....' the old man whispered as his skin melted off of him, revealing smooth blue skin below, 'now where would the fun be in that......?'
